Lumihealing was founded by Karen Ranieri in 2022. A truly incredible individual, Karen had a wealth of knowledge and experience in snow sports. Skiing was one of her passions, and she was naturally gifted at teaching avalanche safety and welcoming newcomers to the sport.

In the short time Karen had between her initial diagnosis and metastatic diagnosis, she created Lumihealing, a nonprofit charity organization sharing her love of snow with other women facing a breast cancer diagnosis. She put her heart and soul into the organization, and Lumihealing brought strangers together to build lifelong friendships.

Very sadly, Karen passed in the summer of 2023. She is so missed by so many. Karen wanted to see Lumihealing continue, and before she passed, I let her know I would take on Lumihealing to carry on with her mission. It is an honor to keep her memory and vision alive through Lumihealing, and I look forward to connecting with you!
